Background history:

'Strutter's Ball' is a dormant tetraploid introduced in 1984 by Steve Moldovan. Roy Woodhall and Steve Moldovan did their hybridizing at Moldovan's Garden in Avon, Ohio. (Both are deceased.)

Strutter's Ball is a mid-season extended bloomer. It shows rust resistance with a 1.5 rating. It has earned the following AHS awards: Award of Merit: 1992, Honorable Mention: 1989, and JC: 1986. It is pod and pollen fertile with currently 107 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...
