Oddly, my sister-in-law (who lives in Florida) had something similar happen about a week ago; she goes walking pretty early in the morning (while it's still reasonably cool) and there was a fawn curled up in the middle of their yard. Called the DNR (I think -- someone, anyway) and was told to leave it be, the mother would likely be back for it within 24 hours. The baby stayed there for quite a while and then, while they weren't looking, it was gone. Smiling

And a couple of weeks ago my husband was out golfing and there was a tiny fawn curled up right in the middle of a fairway Blinking . Hopefully that one also got back together with mom okay.
