i have always loved the wisteria, just moved into a home, my last move. So I purchased a Wisteria to plant (it is about 3 feet tall), but I have no idea, where to put it. I just read an answer about a Wisteria in Kelowna that you said was okay with winter temperature that hovers around 10 F. Well it gets pretty cold here in winter, sometimes -20 C..which is about -4 F. but usual is -8 to -12 C, which is about 10 F. Is it even feasible for me to plant this beautiful plant(tree) here. I was planning to put it on the west side of the house which has a bank around the yard, but i dont think it is enough to protect it from winter cold, is there something I can do to ensure its survival or am I kidding myself. I guess I could put it in a container to put away in winter but don't know if this is good idea either, seeing as it is a vine. Please help me...signed: Novice Gardener of Wisteria (and all other flowers and outdoor trees and plants).
