But if you plant it nex to muted shades it can look good. The idea with combinig it with purple sounds also good 
that's why I picked many purple irises for planting in the background in my garden.
Unfortunately it rains a lot at this time in our area so the scent is not really noticeable, but it's nice - it's very creamy like a lotion and a little musky
