the leaves are quite big, may be 2'? it's a slow grower and in bot gardens indoors often has just a few leaves. the clump in Kampong (my other pic) was in best condition by far. But it grows in the ground also in Leu gardens, Orlando - sheltered by the stream. I have yet to find it in Fairchild, it's in one particular bed...have to make a point to visit it there.
but what's amazing about it and hard to catch is that it sort of glows in the shade when part lit by the sun. the white stripes make it almost fluorescent. i've been trying to capture that, but it's hard. it either overexposes or blurs the stripes....
