I have been the victim of the saddleback sting & I can tell you it's extremely painful!!! You be ULTRA careful Melanie!!! I got it on the underside of one arm & it felt like my arm was on fire literally ON FIRE and there were these excruciating, many forked lightning strikes that ran along the arm besides the fire pain. It will take your breath away. Keep some vinegar handy in your room while you have those things okay?
I called the Poison Control Center when I got hit -- this was years ago. They said use packaging tape & put it on the places & rip it off. That's in order to pull out any spines out that might have been embedded in the skin. I was told to take Benadryl or any antihistamine I had on hand as well as Tylenol. I did all these things but after I did the tape, I used ammonia & just poured it down my arm. That was before I knew vinegar would also work. The ammonia made a huge difference in mitigating the effects.

Love your red spotted purple! I was just thinking about them before I read your post & wondering if you'd had any. I haven't seen any here this year yet.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
