I don't feed my plants, species often do well in unadulterated soil. It was raining here this morning too, it's recently fined up. It wasn't supposed to continue to rain after last weeks cold rainy lot!

I found the small bee, it's Chelostoma campanularum which is around 6mm in length. This was at the end of July 2011. It's not rare in the south but isn't supposed to be where I am, but that's not unusual as I have found several very rare insects which are not supposed to be here or anywhere much in the country.
