I regularly hear and see raccoons squabbling amongst themselves for ownership of food on the bird tables, but I never see them act aggressively towards birds. For example, this morning a crow landed on the large bird table while one of the gray sisters was eating. She took no action at all as the crow walked around the table to take corn from quite close to her. The crow was extremely cautious, ready to fly at any moment, but was simply ignored by the raccoon. Do I have singularly laid-back raccoons, or has anyone else noticed a lack of aggression towards other species?
