Don't put your cuttings in full sun through a window, as this will bake them. If you have room the airing cupboard is ideal as they don't need light until they have rooted. About 3 weeks I find. Then when rooted, put them on the sunny window, but make sure they don't dry out. I hope this helps a bit.
