I had to laugh the other day. The announcer on the radio was reading the weather report ......the station is not too far from us ( maybe an hour) anyway, he started to read the weather report and stopped dead .....he had been saying that it was dry and hot and no precipitation was expected for some time .......after what seemed like a long time of silence (because one is used to a radio broadcast never being silent ) but was probably only a few seconds he came back on the air and said ..that he had stumbled over the report because as he was reading the report he happened to look out the window of the studio and it was pouring outside.
So then he went on to say that prediciting the weather used to be somewhat of a guessing game but now that we have all the newest technology and millions of dollars have been spent to acquire the technology , our ability to predict the weather had risen dramatically to 10 to 15 percent accuracy ........I howled !
At least this was one weather reporter telling the truth for once .
