I mistyped the name. That is it! Adobe Sunset. It is really pretty. Not super bright, but super pretty. I am happy with it.
I have a small, own root climbing rose in orange. I am too hot and lazy to look up its name.It is growing , but hasn't bloomed, yet. I want to grow it around the lamp post with something purple - clematis, probably.
I have another spot ready for 'Christopher Marlowe' or other rose. The mix of coral and pink would work well wit other plants in the bed. I will probably wait to order it online own root in the spring unless I run across something suitable. I grew CM before, but it didn't survive a mid summer garden remodel - what was I thinking, moving roses in the summer? It was my novice rose growing era.
The location gets full sun before the leaves leaf out on the trees (and lots of sun in years when the gypsy moth caterpillars are bad). It gets morning and afternoon sun but some filtered shade during the hottest part of the day. It isn't a perfect rose location - but nothing in the Poconos, PA is a perfect rose location. I think it will suit the orange roses because the mid day filtered shade may slow fading. If it doesn't work, I can move them to the back yard where there is more mid day sun
I want to add a black leaved shrub for contrast. I need to research that more.
I had a Westerland that didn't survive the moves. I will replace it next time I order from Chamblees. I don't have room in this garden for it, but I can plant it elsewhere.
It is ending up less bright than my original vision, but I am happy with the progress so far. I will have to see what I think when the tiger lilies bloom. If I don't like it, I will move the rose - in the spring, not the summer. I make lots of gardening mistakes, but try not to repeat the same ones twice.
