The last time I counted, I came up with 52 E. Salter and G. Stamile daylilies that I grow. Some have very unique and pretty flowers but they don't do very well for me. They don't reliably bloom and several have very few buds when they do. I keep collecting and using them for hybridizing. I am crossing with dormant lines and my own seedlings to create better plant habits. For example, Little Blue Angel has been in my garden for 5 years. It has not increased from the 2 fans I started with. It blooms every other year. This year it had 1 scape with 3 buds. However, I have some seedlings from it that have 25-30 buds. I have some E. Salters that have not bloomed for 3 years. If garden space was a problem for me, they would have to go.
Many of them are registered as semi-evergreen but they are all evergreen in garden.
Another mini bloom...I will have to try photos of future blooms to get the true colors.
