My "wildest" are in the form of wild surprises. I am new to the gardening scene and have just completed the course work to become a Master Gardener. In one of our classes I was give a few garlic cloves to plant and a start of a Jerusalem Artichoke. I nurtured both in pots through the winter and planted in my newly constructed raised beds this spring. To my surprise as I anxiously awaited the first garlic bloom I was greeted by a most unusual day lily!!!!! As the Jerusalem Artichoke grew and grew I kept googling pictures and my plant was far from the pictures I was seeing. All to find out I had just grown one way large turnip and had greens for all!!!! So, needless to say my learning curve is straight up but I have enjoyed my first bountiful harvest of herbs, flowers and summer veggies. I look forward to learning from all!
