DOWNSIDE : waiting for rain AGAIN . And it is going to be another ugly day here temperature wise . I have so many scapes up it is ridiculous . All 3 weeks early
but all seem to be in a holding pattern . Been busy days here and I am STILL trying to weed but can't get the weeds out without using water . Plants are much shorter than normal this year .....due to lack of rain no doubt .
UPSIDE : A single solitary bloom on Velvet Ribbons opened yesterday as did Spacecoast Starburst ( Mary Anne, I found it ! or should I say more like it found me !!!!!!!!!) Blackeyed Stella opened and Carved Pumpkin Pie reared it's gorgeous head. Bluebird Sky opened this a.m. and Serenade .....which is wonderful
.......however just a peek at what is right round the corner. I grow 1200 named varieties and about 1500 seedlings at the moment so one barely even sees the opened ones at this point .
I just know they are all going to burst open at the first hint of rain .Then I will be scrambling to take pictures of them all for my website. Why does it always have to be feast or famine around here? Anyone know?
