From what I've read, the amount of rain makes more difference than cold or mild. They need a dry period in winter. We had a rainy winter here, but I moved it so it was under a roof overhang and didn't get any water for about 6 weeks or so. Well, maybe a light foliar spray when I watered the orchids .. . . but not enough to wet the roots.
