Seriously, these are definitely plants that take their sweet time to mature. Used to be it was some outrageous amount like $75 to buy a blooming size Clivia. Right there is an indicator that it takes forever to grow them out to blooming size. My kids bought me these yellow ones as a gift all those years ago, and they were small single fans. Pretty sure they bought them off eBay and they were a lot less costly than the ones in the catalogs - we now know why!
