Exactly! I really start getting worried when the heavy duty native "weeds" start wilting. Yes, when Spanish Needle wilts you know you're in deep trouble. Ours haven't reached the wilt stage just yet but it might not be much longer. Every day they kick back our good chances of rain to the following day.
I just hope we get a good soaking soon.
