Here's a ripe fruit pic and a sliced Patrician fruit, one of my favourite eating varieties.
No blue epi hybrids,the nearest to blue is Lilactime which is very hard to grow.
I was told 'hybridising is not for old people'. It takes ages. Average from seed to new bloom is 7 years but of course it's very variable. Smaller blooming varieties are quicker.
I have a few still to bloom after 15 years.
