I live in Houston and were hit with all the rain. We have lavender in our front bed - I know that if you do not have really really good draining soil that you can get root rot quickly. You can try to cut back the wilted area (may look strange for awhile) back and hope for the best. Lavender is pretty tuff but after the rains we got we lost three of our newly planted lavender due to the soil not draining quickly enough.
