Yeah, I think in hotter climates they actually appreciate high shade, part sun, and part shade and show us by prolonging the bloom time and give us a more intense color. Orientals appreciate this especially. Trumpets may be the exception as i think too much shade makes them lean a lot, so perhaps there, more light is better, though part sun is good enough there too, based on my experience of trial and error.
