Susan,
Go Baby!
Jo Ann, I put in the nikkis once, 7 or 8 years ago. Nothing attacks them here, and it's fun to watch the night pollinating moths go after them. Then I put some seed in a location that blew around and they come up all around my yard, usually in great spots. I just pull the excess. My next door neighbor adores them because he comes home later in the evening as the nikkis open and release their scent. I actually started my gardening life as an heirloom annual and perennial fan. That's probably why I like roses and peonies from the 1800's.
But I am discovering the neat newer lilies in addition to the older ones. Such fun.
