The only nicotiana I have grown is
Nicotiana sylvestris, what they call Only the Lonely these days. That would be about 20 years ago, before most gardeners knew it existed. Aphids loved the bloom scapes, but they were easy to control with a hard spray from the water hose.
I thought I had lost Kathy Jan with the encroachment of an arborvitae. I remove the arb a few years ago, and it's back:
