If we have a normal year ( as normal as it ever is ) then my Fall planting will produce good to September. Then from September till the first freeze the plants normally go crazy, putting on more blooms and fruit than you can imagine. The ground is still good and warm but we begin to get the cool nights and plenty of light rains that seems to make the plants happy. Then I can put up a ton of goodies for the Winter Hurray!
