My husband and I just bought a home earlier this year. In the back yard there is a young pear tree that has black spots on all the leaves. I have no intention of eating the fruit because whatever is affecting the leaves is affecting the fruit too. Can I still spray it with something to get rid of what is ailing it? I don't want it to die. Next to the pear there is a young peach tree. It doesn't have black spots but it is not healthy either. Some of the branches started to develope fruit to about a nickel or quarter size but they never really grew further and then just fell off. Those branches are brown. The other branches on the peach tree that are green are growing fruit but it looks like it has a rash. Which is the best way to describe it. Does anyone know what could be happening to these trees? How can I fix it?
