Hi Kevin,

I am up in East Texas and use to live down in Beaumont and Nederland and always had a garden. My favorites are Boston Pickling, National Pickling and Straight Eight. You can eat either fresh off the vine and both of the Pickling varieties really make great pickles both sweet and sour. I plant one of the Pickling both Spring and Fall and they produce strong up until the first freeze. Good luck.
