The Tortoise beetle looks like she belongs on a necklace!
I've been enjoying the photos. Thank You!

Thank you for IDing that moth Ann,
It had me wondering for a while. The golden Tortoise Beetle feeds on morning glories and the larva hides its body from predators with its own poop--blech! I've found a different type in the past that really looked like a mini turtle! I'll stick some more pics up here later on. It's a fun challenge to get something less seen.
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
