This time of year, basil is growing very well in my garden. I use it to make pesto, and use the fresh leaves as much as possible. I love to incorporate other herbs in my pesto--especially parsley. It's wonderful on pizza, grilled chicken, and pasta.
I also recently harvested all of our garlic scapes (as well as my neighbors) and made some wonderful garlic scape pesto with basil.
