Terry - Thanks! I typically let the pollen dry on a paper plate for a day or two. I use a small artist's paint brush to extract the pollen and shake it off into the tubes for freezing or chilling. I do not give up easily though. There are so many cultivars that I would like to cross that do not bloom at the same time. I am determined to get some viable pollen eventually. I will check into the matchboxes.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
