I trapped a total of 23 squirrels last year, and quit trapping by late July. I wasn't seeing any squirrels. Don't know why.

I started trapping again mid-May, but because my next door neighbor wants every squirrel I trap and takes them to his rural, wooded property, I generally only set the trap out the day before he goes. That greatly limits what I catch. He only goes once a week. I only have caught 5 so far, and have one sitting in the trap right now, scheduled for its relocation trip in the morning. I caught a nice, big coon last night (I have a large trap that apparently will only catch large, heavy animals). I just turned the coon loose. I buy roasted peanuts in the shell and mix the peanut halves in with peanut butter. Every animal seems to like that recipe.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
