I had such great sucess with my last ID request, that I thought I would try again.
Years ago I purchased the pictured daylily from a lady who confessed that she did not know the registered name. Recently, while snooping around the Daylily Database I ran across the variety, 'Bitsy'. I wonder if my NOID could be 'Bitsy'.
The scape on my plant is 22 inches high this year. As the second picture shows, the bloom is less than two inches across. What really distinguishes my plant is the color of the scape. It is considerably darker than the foliage. In fact, it is close to black.
Does anyone have an opinion as to whether my plant is 'Bitsy.?
