There aren't as many this year. Last summer I had an occasional few Monarch eggs laid on milkweed, but this summer, there's nothing. Not even the Queen butterflies came to lay eggs on milkweed. Guess it'll give some time for my small milkweed to grow, if I can keep them alive in this dry heat. La Nina is on the way, according to weather experts.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
