'Smuggler's Gold' is a dormant tetraploid introduced in 1991 by Branch. No info on hybridizer.
Smuggler's Gold is a mid-season extended bloomer. It has earned the following AHS awards: Award of Merit: 2002 and Honorable Mention: 1997. It is moderately difficult as a pod parent but an excellent pollen parent. It currently has 41 registered children:
