To whomever can help,
I have no background in planting things hardly ever so I'm hoping you can give me direction. I live in South Louisiana and have property in a freshwater marsh area with a mostly loose mud bottom. Naturally, we have wax myrtle plants that grow around the area but I'd like to grow them in specific parts in ponds that I have (around our duck blinds). I was told that I could use hay to help get natural growth but am unsure how this would work. Any help in how to make this successful would be greatly appreciated.
Details of the area:
- Shallow fresh water marsh area - water depth 1-3 ft.
- Lots of sunshine around duck blinds so plants would get great sunlight
- Duck blinds are wooden platform blinds that stick out the water and have no natural brush growing. Depth around blinds are roughly 2 ft.
