In his discussion about how he bred HYPATIA, Owen says " I did however, get "Rose F. Kennedy" (RFK) the year it came out... but since I wasn't impressed with its plant habit, I used it only for pollen... "

Is their a basis for getting round a parent's poor foliage by not using it as a pod parent when hybridising?
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
