Marcia, that's dramatically low humidity. Plants that hail from humid, rainforest jungle may just not be happy at high elevation & low humidity - a double whammy. Not trying to be Debbie Downer, but I have the same difficulty with plants that don't like high humidity where I am. It's not a factor I can control. I try to avoid buying those if I realize @ the store. Maybe a terrarium or other similar enclosure could help, if lack of air movement isn't an equal factor to battle in a setup like that.
