Hilarious! Yes, Toni it's the same kind. I have some Tagetes erecta that look just like yours and they are the strongest smelling Tagetes I've grown (and my favorite). I also grow some pretty stinky T. patula (French marigold). Some of the hybrid Tagetes have the smell bred out of them. Thumbs down I prefer the smelly ones - just like all of the pollinators.
