Gotta tell you...
It's gonna be easier than you think to find additional starts of this...

I really like hummingbird vine when it's well away from the veggie garden... climbing up a pine tree or something...

But when it's near tilled soil, it roots from every leaf node that touches the ground... and those roots are long and deep... and difficult to pull.

If it was me... I'd try lifting the vines that are touching the ground and see how much of it is fastened down...
And then dig all I wanted.
I doubt that the heat is gonna bother the dug plants much... and if it does... Hey... there's plenty more where these came from.

That's a nice looking flower border you have there...
