They don't all do it, but I can't really answer whether they might not all have the possibility under certain circumstances. Some do seem more likely to prolif. One that I know typically does it is 'So Lovely'. Prolifs are similar to what spider plants (Chlorophytum) do and the latter are somewhat related to daylilies (same plant Order, different Family).
