I really enjoy this thread. Maybe it's because my garden is suffering the July decline where most things are dormant or dying. Lack of rain and high temperatures make for a deadly combination.
I especially like the photos of polar bears and icebergs. Such refreshing images as I wait for the sweat to dry and my core temp to return to normal after a morning of pruning.
But I must confess that I feel somewhat out of my depth in this forum. I'm in awe of those like
@GoatDriver who can install software and actually figure out how to use it! (I just realized thanks to spellcheck that it's not soft wear, which sounds more like a pair of comfy slippers). My grown daughters can do 'post production' stuff; they can clone and switch heads in a photo. Heck, they can even make unwanted people disappear. They know what all of those little boxes in Photoshop do. They upload pictures to Facebook, they use Instagram. My 15-year-old grandson tried to teach me how to download. Unsuccessfully, I might add.
Yes, it makes me feel like a dinosaur.
I know how to crop. Period.
But I like to take pictures - and I really appreciate the work of others.
Thanks to all for posting such lovely images!
