My sweetheart and I had to make a decision recently that meant I would not have more land this year to plant seeds. Disappointing for me,
but possibly great for some of you.
As I continue to come to terms with the reality that I won't be able to plant all of my seeds that I thought I would be able to, I may be adding more to the list. (If I do, you'll be able to tell which are new because they will be the ones at the bottom, numbered 76+...and they'll be out of alphabetical order, too.) If you have difficulty viewing the list (as those of you viewing on a phone might), please let me know.
I'm posting the list FIRST (and I will edit it if I add more to the list). After that, as/if I have time, I will post pictures of the crosses and possible information about each in future posts.
If you want (or are interested in) a packet of seeds, please post below. You are more than welcome to send me a Tree-mail, but if multiple requests come in for the same packet at roughly the same time, the person who responded first in this thread is more apt to get it (I just don't have time to compare time stamps in a tree-mail to the time stamps in the thread.)
Please note, my hybridizing goals are for quality plants that make a colorful impact in a landscape. I do *not* have any 'designer' daylily (patterns, sculpting, etc.) crosses from 2015. The seed crosses you see below reflect my goals and interests in creating very richly-colored daylilies that can create a beautiful impact in your yard, even from a distance. Many of my crosses involve rich reds, bright oranges, deep reds or purples (some near-black), and near-whites. Many of my daylilies (and their crosses) have rich, saturated colors, though some may have eyes or white/cream midribs or they may have edges of a different color. Another goal of mine is for daylilies with good substance (petals) and thick scapes, so most of the daylilies I hybridize with have one or both of those attributes.
Okay, so here's the list...
To understand each line, it goes in this order:
pod parent, pollen parent, pollination date, harvest date, in-fridge date, number of seeds, ploidy, price (Some may be missing one of these elements, but most should have all of this information.)
Note: all of these listings include ALL of the seeds from the pod...I have NOT split any of what's listed for sale below. I know a lot of you are used to getting seed packs on the LA that came from a larger stash that has been split into about 5-6 seeds per pack. Not here! Some of these packets have over 20 seeds!
[I may, however, give bonus seeds that may come from pods that have been split.]
If you are not happy with these seeds once they come to you, please let me know! All seeds have been twice-checked for squishies, with squish tests done at time of harvest as well as after drying/before going into the fridge. All seeds have been refrigerated plenty long enough, so you can plant them as soon as they get to you. They're ready and waiting for you to give them a new home!
