1) "BECKY'S CURLS" (GARDEN NAME) - SEEDLING 1 x SYMPHONY OF FIRE 16-Jul-15 31-Aug-15 - - 5 T $5
"Becky's Curls" is one of my favorite daylilies in my garden! Although I discovered this year that it is actually a clump of two different siblings, so your seedlings from this cross may have been from a pod parent with curly petals or one with crispate petals (see pictures above). Becky's Curls is a tall variety (about 36" or so last year, about 30" this year) with a bloom that seems far bigger than it measures (about 6.5" if it's the curly version, and probably about 7-7.5" for the red crispate version?) and very strong scapes. The color is beautiful and she has a slight fragrance that I would hope she would pass onto her kids. Symphony of Fire is an absolutely STUNNING daylily with a very velvety (although sometimes waxy) substance. Holds up GREAT in the heat.

2) AMERICAN REVOLUTION x OLALLIE KEITH STONE'S SUNSET 22-Jul-15 22-Sep-15 08-Oct-15 27 D $10 SOLD
American revolution is about as black as the near-black daylilies come, although it can sometimes appear rather red in photos. It's color is rich and dark, and it's form is nice. The more exciting of the two parents is Olallie Keith Stone's Sunset...it can appear differently depending on the weather, often more red in the morning or when it's cloudy, becoming more orange with a red eye in sunlight. It's curly form is wonderful, and it has a coppery or 'gold dusting' glitter to it. Last year it's bud/branch count was very average (on par with the stats as registered), but after a year of settling in my garden, it had an incredible turnaround and this year it exploded with branches (4-way branching) and buds (each scape had something like 30 - 50+ buds). I'm really excited to see what this cultivar throws to its babies. Please note that any cultivars with red, yellow, and purple genes in the mix (such as this one) could end up with brown babies. I made this cross in the hopes I might get a copper-colored cross. (This is one of few offerings with this as a parent--I kept most of the others.)

3) BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS x (RED CHALLENGE?) 15-Jul-15 30-Aug-15 02-Sep-15 24 D $6 SOLD
Beautiful Edgings is a classic. She is a pale yellow base color with pink edges - not usually what I look for in my garden, but she has rightfully earned her place. Stick your nose in her bloom to enjoy a soft, sweet fragrance and sit back and watch as her pale yellow fades to white throughout the (sunny) day. Pretty. "Red Challenge" is a NOID that I picked out from a local daylily seller who had it in his garden (not in the for-sale spot) and agreed to sell it to me. He never knew the name of it, but explained that his neighbor had given it to him over thirty years ago. In a whole field of daylilies, this one, not-really-for-sale beauty jumped out at me and I'm grateful he sold a clump of it to me. Whether it is a registered cultivar or not, we'll never know, but I mostly gave up searching. It's a spider-type daylily with a small-ish bloom and a brilliant star-like pattern (white midribs). In my garden, it has darker foliage than most of my other daylilies. And BOY is it fertile!...I'm not sure if that's a trait that is passed on to babies, but we can hope. Overall, this cross was done for the fun of it because there are SO MANY possibilities for the babies!

4) BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS x JOAN SENIOR 12-Jul-15 31-Aug-15 03-Sep-15 12 D $4 SOLD
Two classics! Read above for description of Beautiful Edgings. Joan Senior is often said to be one of the whitest (near-)whites. Sometimes in my garden she has a pale yellow tint, but it usually fades to a very white white later in the day. This cross was intended to get a seedling that looks just like beautiful edgings, but is whiter. Edited to add: Ironically, Beautiful Edgings is whiter in the picture than Joan Senior, but I think that's because in my garden, Joan Senior is under a tree (shade) whereas Beautiful Edgings is in all-day sun.

5) BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS x SAINT ELMO'S FIRE 21-Jul-15 07-Sep-15 12-Sep-15 22 D $7
This cross was meant to be fun, with LOTS of possibilities! One great attribute of Saint Elmo's Fire-- aside from being a gorgeous, big daylily--is that it is a bud-builder. This cross is an attempt to cultivate that feature for those who enjoy bud-building cultivars.

6) CLOUD BARON SO x MANY STARS 23-Aug-15 02-Nov-15 - - 6 T $5 SOLD
So Many Stars is so beautiful, and is loved by so many, but my biggest issue with her is her lack of petal substance. Enter Cloud Baron...he has the substance and the strong scapes (wow were they thick scapes last year!) to fix what SMS lacks. Should be some beautiful babies...

7) CUPID CALLING x LIBBY'S TRAIL 28-Jul-15 20-Sep-15 01-Oct-15 5 T $5
Both of these parents have ruffled edges and I was trying to bring the bright red of cupid Calling into the gorgeous bloom of Libby's Trail. Libby's Trail has beautiful gold bubbly edges that, as you can see in the photo, are *almost* toothy. If you're a hybridizer, I could see seedlings from this cross possibly ending up in your bubbly and/or toothy hybridizing program. Regardless, Libby's Trail is a somewhat shorter variety, but blooms above the foliage for me and has great substance and thick scapes. (I should mention that Cupid Calling is VERY red...not pink like the picture shows. I'll try to update the picture later if I think of it.)

8) EARLY AND OFTEN x HEAVENLY ANGEL ICE 27-Jul-15 20-Sep-15 01-Oct-15 22 D $6 SOLD
Early and Often isn't particularly special to me except that it is a reliable rebloomer (which is uncommon here in the northern states). The better part of this equation is Heavenly Angel Ice, which is a GORGEOUS near-white. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's normally much whiter than this, particularly after a sunny day, but atleast you can get a feel for it's graceful, stunning form from the picture. A true winner! Considering both parents are rebloomers, the hope for this cross was a white daylily that starts earlier in the season and has a lot of rebloom (and lots of time to rebloom).

9) FEAR NOT x MATCHLESS FIRE 19-Jul-15 14-Sep-15 20-Sep-15 6 T $7
I'm running out of time at the moment to write descriptions, but I think the pictures speak for themselves on this cross!
Edited to add: With both varieties having a watermark (Fear Not's being more of a coral-pink and Matchless Fire's being an unmistakable orange), I would expect the babies to have watermarks, too, but perhaps in a variety of color blends. This, too, I thought would be one of the first seed packs to go, but it looks like it is still available for any red bloom loves out there as of the time of this post!

10) FEAR NOT x RUBY SPIDER 21-Jul-15 16-Sep-15 01-Oct-15 11 T $8
Again, not enough time to write a description at the moment, but the pictures speak for themselves. And I will say this...NO garden should be without Ruby Spider...or one of her descendants! Hilarious!
Edited to add: Wow, I'm surprised this one wasn't one of the first seed packs spoken for, but it's definitely a cross for someone who likes red. Both parents have beautiful form--Ruby Spiders being somewhat Spatulate and Fear Not's being...well, I'm not even sure what to call it, perhaps spatulate as well, but in a different way? They are both gorgeous gorgeous blooms and I'm curious whether the watermark on Fear Not will prevail gene-wise in the offspring or if Ruby Spider's cheery yellow throat, encroached upon by red veins from the petals, will get the corner on the kids' phenotypes.
