You in the (desert) west have completely different growing conditions than I, here in Mississippi. I would think that Brenden, though cooler, would have similar (outside) conditions that I have. Anyway, after only growing a single Nepenthes (I think it is the sanguinea), I got the Nepenthes ventricosa 'Rosea', aka "Red Pitcher" plants. They are real cuties. I have only had that single plant for 1.5 years, and it was a cutting when I got it. It took a year for that (rooted) cutting to grow its first pitchers. I thought that I would have to wait for these ventricosa to grow their pitchers........perhaps another year of waiting. But no. These new plants are just loaded with small pitchers, which really surprised and delighted me.
