Barberry can be started from cuttings. Do a little research on plant propagation as there are different techniques for different times of the year. In mid-summer, semi-ripe cuttings will work best. That is growth that has grown this year but hasn't turned completely woody yet.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
