I was wondering if there was a way to add the name "maguey" to all entries in the agaves. This is the Mexican Spanish term for an agave, and many/most agaves are of Mexican origin. Even the agaves which are not would be found in Spanish speaking areas.

If you were to talk to a person on the street in Mexico, "maguey" is the word you would use to describe an agave.

Here is the parent listing for the genus. I'm not quite sure how the names might be updated in a general way to include this alternate name.

Agaves (Agave)

Can anyone help? Is this too over-reaching an idea to start with? Appreciate your input. Smiling
