Hello, thank you for responding. I just about gave up. I've grown many rose of sharon when we lived in New Braunfels town. Now we moved into the Hill Country where there are lots of deer. My husband loves them and I like the fawns. Any way does anyone know if deer eat, or nibble on the branches or the leaves?

If they do I guess I'll plant them in our fenced yard. We have a large front yard with no fence. Last of all are there any successful treatments for the deer eating plants? I see alot of advertisements but I don't know if any work. Anyway thanks alot. Mary H.
