Larry and I talked it over, and I think this fall, I'm going to get all of the hosta, and everything else, out of the pots and into mulch beds in the woods. I figure they have just as good a chance of surviving there as in the pots. And it will be a lot easier to fence it off from the 4-legged rats. The tree rats are, of course, another story.
