Sorry, the branches had been cut out before I could get a photo.
Is it possible that the branches identified as "chewed" in the first image could have been pruned? When the image is zoomed the branch looks like it has been partially crushed as if chewed. I tried clipping at an angle and could not really duplicate that cut with clippers.
