As usual, I'm hunting for evergreens! This time, a rose. Disclaimer: I have absolutely no experience growing roses.

Based on my research there are quite a few rose species that are hardy in the Mid Atlantic and semi-evergreen or "evergreen in mild winters." All the comments I could find confirming the roses were evergreen came from warm climates gardeners, zone 8+, and even then there was quite a bit of conflicting information. So I decided to come here and ask y'all about your experiences. These are the roses that *may* be evergreen:

Lady Banks Rose (Rosa Banksiae)
McCartney Rose (Rosa Bracteata)
China Rose (Rosa Chinensis)
Cherokee Rose (Rosa Laevigata)
Memorial Rose (Rosa Wichuraiana)
Evergreen Rose (Rosa Sempervirens)
Rosa Luciae

If you've had any roses that retained their leaves through winter other than those listed, please share and tell me a bit about its growth habit, fragrance, color, ect. Thank You!
