Sometimes the neighbor kids pop a ball over the fence and they'll run around to get it...sometimes barefoot. That barefoot thing is really dangerous because my 60' pyracantha hedge is up against the fence. Little do they know that branches and thorns break off and take very long to decompose. They could easily get lodged in a foot. If I walk barefoot in the yard (and I rarely do) I give those a wide birth.
