Marica, I was only referring to the tall one...not "pruning"...only removing the branchlets from the caudex/stem. The tall one was not specifically identified as one of the two that were producing buds, but even if it was, I would remove the branches so as to direct energy to bloom production instead of vegetative growth near the base.
